breathe in the mist,
it'll help to straighten your head
I can't stomach anymore
of this never-ending
sleepless wandering
because the path leads from the house
to somewhere faraway
all I can do is pray
you return each day
but don't worry
you're not too far lost
you still shine like a diamond
in the rough
you still smile like there's nothing
creeping up
and you pretend you're fine
so I pretend that that's just fine
don't send a letter
you know, I won't believe the words
don't say that you'll soon be mine
I can't watch the clock
I can't keep with the time.
to me,
the only thing changing
is the pace of my breathing
so hurry before the oxygen stops streaming
but don't worry
they're not listening now
they hope that we'll just
bring each other down
so run away
like you were never here
and if I find daylight
maybe I'll see you there
What were you doing when you wrote this
Making passionate poetry together on the horizon
